About us

The Administartive Department for Culture and Civil Society , within the scope of responsibilities prescribed by the applicable regulations of the Republic of Croatia, performs the following tasks:

• monitoring and analysing the situation, and encouraging development in the field of culture, including cultural institutions, associations, artistic organisations, and natural and legal persons operating in the field of culture,
• The Administrative Department for Culture and Civil Society, as defined by Croatian regulations, is responsible for: monitoring and supporting the development of culture; proposing and overseeing cultural needs and budgets; ensuring conditions for cultural and association programmes; providing support to national minority councils; supervising use of funds; evaluating civil society initiatives; organising project development; assisting with project implementation; supporting cultural events and heritage programmes; promoting the City’s cultural profile; managing the City Art Collection and Gallery; supporting advisory bodies; and performing additional tasks within culture and civil society.

This Administrative Department also performs other tasks which, pursuant to applicable regulations or by their nature, fall within its scope of responsibilities.
