Pioneers of heavy metal, the legendary British band Judas Priest, are returning to the Croatian audience. After more than two decades, they will perform on August 25, 2026, in the timeless setting of the Arena Pula. One of the most influential bands in the history of the genre arrives in Pula as part of their European “Faithkeepers” tour, presenting a live retrospective of a career spanning more than half a century. Tickets have been on sale since Wednesday, March 18, via the Eventim system.
Judas Priest is one of the most influential bands in the history of heavy metal, with a career lasting over five decades that has shaped the development of the entire genre. Formed in 1969 in Birmingham—a city many consider the birthplace of heavy metal—they quickly became synonymous with the sound. Over the years, the band has built a reputation as one of the greatest live acts on the scene, with numerous accolades confirming their impact, including a Grammy Award and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. During the 1980s, they became a global touring phenomenon and headlined major festivals such as Monsters of Rock, cementing their status as one of the most important institutions in metal. Their influence extends far beyond music—Judas Priest also helped define the visual identity of heavy metal, popularizing the iconic leather-and-studs aesthetic that became a symbol of the entire metal culture.
Their latest album, the nineteenth in their career, Invincible Shield, was released in March 2024. It was met with strong acclaim from both critics and fans, confirming that even more than five decades after their formation, Judas Priest remain one of the most powerful and relevant bands on the global metal scene. Their discography includes a series of cult albums, most notably “British Steel,” “Screaming for Vengeance,” and “Painkiller.” These releases feature timeless metal anthems such as “Breaking the Law,” “Living After Midnight,” and “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming,” songs that have become staples of concert setlists and the global metal canon.
As part of the “Faithkeepers” European tour, Judas Priest will perform in major cities across Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Netherlands, France, and Spain, as well as at some of Europe’s biggest festivals. The tour begins in late July in Germany and continues throughout July and August, with their stop in Croatia offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience the energy and spectacle of one of the greatest metal bands of all time in the unique setting of an ancient amphitheater.
