Severina – Ja samo pjevam
After a series of triumphant arena shows that marked the past season — including two sold-out nights at Arena Zagreb and Split’s Gripe Hall — Severina continues her concert story and current tour “Ja samo pjevam” on August 8 at one of Europe’s most beautiful stages — the Pula Arena.
In such a setting, the concept of the “Ja samo pjevam” concerts will gain a new dimension. After demonstrating in Zagreb and Split how even the largest arenas can be transformed into intimate spaces of connection, Severina once again steps in front of the audience without a “shield,” relying on her voice, interpretation, and emotion. Without dancers or large choreographed segments, yet with production grandeur remaining her trademark: an orchestra of around thirty top musicians placing her songs into a broader, almost symphonic framework, carefully crafted video projections that follow the emotion of each song, and stage details that do not dominate but serve the music. At the center of it all remains the voice and the story — personal, sincere, and close — and in a space like the Pula Arena, this approach gains even greater depth.
Under the open Istrian sky, among stone arcades that take on a cinematic beauty at dusk, every ballad will carry additional weight, and every hit will gain new breadth.
“I remember my first performance in Pula in 1993, ‘Sedma noć.’ I premiered the song ‘Paloma Nera,’ and I can’t wait to relive that feeling when the entire Pula Arena sings along. This time, I’m coming with an orchestra of 30 of the best musicians. See you — and let’s embrace…” — Severina said ahead of the concert.
