Pokopaj me nježno

The hilarious comedy “Pokopaj me nježno” by Kerekesh Teatar will be performed this summer at the Kaštel in Pula on July 19 at 9:00 PM.

This comedy by Kerekesh Teatar tackles a rather unusual and increasingly rare profession — gravediggers. In the village of Strahlinec, director Puh has opened the doors of the funeral company and morgue “Pokopaj me nježno” (“Bury Me Gently”). Together with his assistant Mišak, who is limited in every possible way, he begins interviewing candidates who applied for the public job opening for a gravedigger: Meho Puzić, a Bosnian ditch digger; Izmet Haljimi, an Albanian pastry chef; Robert Fotić, a soft-hearted physiotherapist; and Miljenko Pavelić, who is deaf and mute. Preparations for the first funeral may begin. The deceased is… a volunteer.
