Stand up show "Bolja polovica" by Vlatko Štampar
After more than 200 performances and thousands of audience members across Croatia and the wider region, Vlatko Štampar is embarking on the farewell tour of his fourth stand-up show, Bolja polovica (“The Better Half”). Since its premiere in 2018, the show has consistently filled venues, with audiences returning time and again for Štampar’s signature style — brutally honest humor, impeccable timing, and everyday-life stories in which everyone easily recognizes themselves.
In The Better Half, Štampar talks about relationships, marriage, habits, small everyday frustrations, and the absurdities of daily life — in the only way he knows how: unfiltered, direct, and laugh-out-loud funny. Good or evil? Material or spiritual?
Who are we when we are alone, and who are we when others are watching?
This is a show about fake Instagram façades, distorted values, secrets, honesty, shame, and jealousy — and all those little things that make us human. If you’ve already seen it, you know why it became one of his most successful shows. If you haven’t, this is your last chance to experience it live.
WHO IS VLATKO ŠTAMPAR?
For those who have never “tried” him, Vlatko remains the never-fully-discovered embodiment of those strange thoughts we all have in the part of our minds we deliberately ignore. For those who have experienced him, Vlatko has been — and remains — an outlet, a faucet of completely absurd associations which, combined with his unmistakable delivery, inevitably provoke laughter and make him one of the finest comedians “in these parts.” Except in Hungary.
