Theatre Performance "Žene na rubu"

The play is directed by Mario Kovač and stars Martina Stjepanović Meter, Petra Težak, and Mia Krajcar.

The dramatic text by Gustav Otto follows three contemporary women whose lives have been anything but easy, and who have been hurt and disappointed countless times in their search for love.

In this comedy, we meet them in their thirties — that fragile stage of life when society expects so much from us while subtly suggesting that the end (our forties!) is already near. Each of them searches for salvation in a different place: one in the arms of a married man who deceives her, another in a self-destructive escape from the routine of family life, and the third in the mysticism of religion. Each lacks what the other two possess, yet none of them realises it.

With dark humour and surgical precision, the play dissects the difficult and often thankless position of women in contemporary society.
