The City Library and Reading Room Pula is organizing a new **Summer Reading Challenge** for **primary school students** and a **Mini Summer Reading Challenge** for **preschool children and their parents** from June 29 to August 29.

The program takes place at the Central Library, the Children's Library, Veruda Library, and Vodnjan Library, offering children a variety of opportunities for learning, creativity, and fun, encouraging quality use of free time and fostering a love of reading.

The challenge consists of three groups of activities: **reading, creating book recommendations, and participating in workshops**. The workshops are intended for different age groups and designed to suit various children's interests. Family storytelling sessions include *Book Fishies*, *Good Stories for Sweeter Dreams*, and *The Family Harbor of Sea Stories*, while schoolchildren will be able to participate in workshops such as *Bonjourići*, *Summer Book Hunt*, *Summer Time Travel*, *Dive In on Saturday*, *A Legendary Tour of Istria*, *Do You Read? I Read!*, *I'm a Librarian Too!*, *Summer Between the Pages*, *A Sea of Stories and Green Discoveries*, *Quiz & Social Monday*, *Mediterranean Gardeners*, and *The Summer Story Machine*.

The activities are intended for Library members, and participation is free of charge (membership is free for children up to 15 years of age). Those who have not registered for the **Summer Reading Challenge** or the **Mini Summer Reading Challenge** may also participate in all workshops, provided they register in person, by phone, or by email.

For every book read and every participation in an activity that is part of the Summer Reading Challenge, participants receive one stamp in their Reading Journal, confirming that the task has been completed. At the final gathering, everyone who completes the challenge will receive prizes provided by: Tinker Labs Pula, Educational Center Kaizen, Hoću knjigu, Aquarium Pula, Teatar Naranča, Pulapromet, and Kino Valli.

The program is conducted in Croatian.
