Disabled access provided
The Art Studio Pula Batik Group, led by Vesna Jaklin Pantić, has been active since 2009, cultivating the art of traditional hot batik through a contemporary approach. Using the unique technique of applying hot wax and layers of colour to fabric, the artists explore the beauty of nature, colour, and form.
This year's exhibition is inspired by floral motifs famously celebrated in the work of Georgia O'Keeffe. By observing flowers up close, the artists reveal their strength, delicacy, and richness of detail, transforming their personal experience of nature into vibrant batik compositions.
The exhibited works reflect creativity, dedication, and the joy of artistic expression, confirming that batik remains a living and inspiring art form that continues to find relevance and new interpretations in the contemporary world.
