Summer Library Season at Fratarski – “A Book in the Sun!”

The new season of the Summer Library “A Book in the Sun!”, organized by the Gradske knjižnice i čitaonice Pula, will open with a special event. On Monday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m., visitors to Fratarsko will have the opportunity to meet Brano Jakubović, who will present his book Moje dubioze (My Doubts).

Brano Jakubović, founder and musician of Dubioza Kolektiv, shares stories that intertwine personal experiences with musical adventures from more than two decades of creating and performing with the band. The book includes stories about the group, travels, friendships, and family moments. My Doubts is not a conventional autobiography; through a humorous and unpretentious narrative style, the author offers intimate insights into his life while also documenting the development of Dubioza Kolektiv and reflecting on more than twenty years of events on the Bosnian-Herzegovinian, regional, and international music scene.

The Summer Library at Fratarski will be open to all visitors from June 26 until the end of the season. Located next to the reception area, this reading point continues a long-standing collaboration aimed at promoting libraries, books, and reading, while enriching the island’s visitor experience.

Readers can borrow books free of charge and without library membership, following the principle of a “Little Free Library”: once you finish reading a book, you may return it, pass it on to a friend, take it home, or replace it with one of your own.
