KINO 15+: Memento
Leonard Shelby suffers from short-term memory loss following an attack in which his wife was murdered. Unable to form new memories, he relies on photographs, notes, and tattoos to track clues and find the man he believes is responsible for her death.
The story is told in an unconventional way: most scenes are presented in reverse chronological order, so the audience discovers information in the same disoriented way as Leonard himself.
The film explores themes of memory, identity, truth, and self-deception, and is known for its innovative narrative structure.
