Pula - Pola Pride 2026: DAJ SI KURAJA, IŠČIMO SI PRAVA!
The years behind us have left their mark in the steps we have already taken, in the words we have had to speak louder than we wished, and in the silences that have sometimes hurt more than the noise. We have learned that visibility is not a moment, but a process. That rights, even when they exist, often remain only on paper, while real lives unfold somewhere between fear and courage. That is precisely why we believe it is crucial to say clearly: we do NOT accept fear as the new normal; we do NOT accept a society in which human rights are selective and dignity is conditional.
We remember both support and resistance. The hands that held us up, but also the voices that called for our erasure. And that is exactly why we are still here.
This year’s slogan, “Have Courage, Let’s Claim Our Rights!”, serves as a reminder of all those moments when we had to find strength where there seemed to be none. It speaks to all those who are still waiting for their turn to speak out, to step forward, and to live without having to hide. Courage is not the absence of fear; it is the decision to remain and keep fighting despite it.
Let’s claim our rights — together! Not as people asking for permission, but as a community that knows its worth. As people who understand that dignity is not negotiable. As a voice that refuses half-measures, “it’ll be fine,” or “maybe.”
That is why we march again this year. Slower or faster, louder or quieter — but always together.
Have courage, let’s claim our rights!
Participants will gather at 6:00 PM at Portarata Square. The march will proceed through the city centre to the Comunità degli Italiani di Pola – Italian Community of Pula (Circolo), where the official Pula Pride programme will take place, beginning at 8:00 PM.
