Dub Arena celebrates nine years with Young Warrior and Roots Daughters

This year's edition of Dub Arena marks both the summer solstice and the event's ninth anniversary, celebrating nearly a decade of bringing some of the finest names from the international and regional soundsystem scene to Pula.

The evening's headliner is Young Warrior, one of the leading figures of the new generation of the UK soundsystem scene and the son of the legendary Jah Shaka. Active since 2005, Young Warrior has developed a distinctive sound that combines the classic roots and dub tradition with contemporary production. Following Jah Shaka's passing in 2023, he took over his father's renowned soundsystem, continuing its rich musical legacy. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous reggae, dub and bass music legends, including Jah Shaka, Gussie P, Johnny Clarke, Sly & Robbie, Mafia & Fluxy, Ras Muffet, Little Roy, Congo Natty and V.I.V.E.K. In 2026, he released the new 7-inch single Journey on the Jah Shaka Music label in collaboration with the legendary Twinkle Brothers.

Joining him are Roots Daughters, long-established icons of the regional dub scene, now based in Berlin, while the powerful sound will be delivered by the resident Munchies Soundsystem.

Audiences can look forward to an evening of authentic roots and dub music, highlighted by Young Warrior's debut performance at Dub Arena.
