**Music and the City, Opening of SAKUD Summer

SAKUD, in co-organization with the Pula Wind Orchestra, KUD “Uljanik”, OKUD “Istra”, Pula Majorettes and KUD “M. Brajša-Rašan” and “L. Mariani” in 2026, in cooperation with the Pula Tourist Board, will organize the program "Music and the City" which combines the previous three programs: "Musical Morning" which is held in the spring, autumn and winter months on Saturday mornings, then "Dance Evenings" in which the Pula Majorettes and KUD Uljanik participate, and "On the Streets and Squares" which covers the summer season and is intended for both domestic audiences and foreign guests who are presented with the cultural heritage of the city of Pula. The programs will be held throughout the year, with an emphasis on summer, when there are the most programs, on Forum Square, Portarata Square, and the People's Square (City Market). Our goal is to present the work and programs of associations in our own production and to contract with them for new performances in the country and abroad, to continue international cultural cooperation with choirs, orchestras, folklore societies, to encourage the citizens of Pula to join associations that operate under SAKUD, to provide content in the summer months, enriching the cultural offer of our city, and to promote the City of Pula. On June 28th, there will be a joint performance by SAKUD members, which marks the beginning of the program that will take place throughout the summer.
