PLACES OF ENCOUNTER / Opening of the 18th Days of Creativity

At this exhibition, the Zerostrasse underground tunnels become places where space, materials, light, sound, and people come together. Nine creative teams have developed site-specific installations that use ceramics as the primary medium, complemented by wood, metal, glass, and other materials to emphasize the character of the space and reveal its hidden qualities.

Each installation is created in dialogue with the architecture of the tunnels. Rather than dominating the space, it follows and respects its history, texture, and atmosphere, inviting visitors to pause, sit, listen, and experience the space in a different way.

Places of Encounter explores the relationship between people and space, between individuals, and within oneself. The exhibition invites visitors to slow down, linger, and reflect, transforming a walk through the underground tunnels into a memorable experience.
