Open Call for the 23rd Production In: PFT Meets VFF – Šatro Retro

From 29 July to 1 August 2026, Pula Film Factory and the Vodnjan Film Festival invite creative minds from Pula, Istria and beyond to join the 23rd Production In, a four-day short filmmaking workshop held at the Pula Film Factory Club.

Each day, a new group of participants will collaboratively develop and shoot a short film using the Record–Pause–Record technique, creating the film entirely in-camera, without conventional editing or any post-production.

This year's playful quasi-theme is Šatro Retro. Participants will have access to a rich selection of costumes, wigs, hats, make-up, props, fabrics, lighting equipment and modular set pieces from the Pula Film Factory collection.

No previous filmmaking experience is required. Individuals and teams are welcome to apply for one or multiple workshop days. Participation is free of charge.

All completed films will enter the pre-selection process for the 6th VFFUFFF.
