Neighborhood cinema

The "Neighborhood Cinema" program has already become a favorite among the citizens of Pula, as well as all other guests visiting Pula during the summer. The idea behind the program is to provide everyone with a special experience of film art on the big screen close to their homes, in a natural and relaxed setting. Moving the big screen and projector from neighborhood to neighborhood has turned into a true cinematic adventure for both the audience and the organizers.

"Neighborhood Cinema films" are screened at the following locations and dates:

• August 14 – Veruda (Trg kralja Tomislava) – Big Life
• August 15 – Monvidal (Valica playground) – I Accidentally Wrote a Book
• August 16 – Veli Vrh (school playground) – Dolphin Boy 2 (Summer in the Net)

• August 17 – Štinjan (Placa) – The Elm-Chanted Forest (Summer in the Net)
• August 18 – Nova Veruda (playground in Rohreggerova Street) – Amélie
• August 19 – Monte Zaro (Art Park, DC Rojc) – Honey
• August 20 – Stoja (Barake – meadow next to the Local Committee) – The Savages
• August 21 – Šijana (playground behind Standa) – Pixie
• August 22 – Busoler (woods next to the Local Committee) – Monsters, Inc. (Summer in the Net)
• August 23 – Kaštanjer (Rižanska 6, meadow next to POU) – Moonrise Kingdom

All screenings begin at 8:30 PM.

In addition to high-quality film content primarily aimed at children and youth, "Neighborhood Cinema" also provides professional image and sound quality. This once again confirms that Pula is a city with a rich cinematic tradition and movie-screening culture.

Apart from its great significance for the local community, promoting the big-screen experience in any form contributes to the cinema exhibition industry and audience development. The program is also designed to enrich the tourist offer. It provides numerous summer visitors in Pula with an additional activity they can enjoy close to their private accommodations, or in the evening when they want to immerse themselves in a movie story after a full day at the beach.
