Concert BIg Band Pula

The Big Band Pula, part of the City of Pula Wind Orchestra, has been active since 1996. Since 2008, it has been led by Branko Sterpin, who continued the work of the ensemble's founder and first leader, Davor Lorković. Its repertoire is primarily based on classic big band compositions—specifically from the Swing era—made famous by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, and Count Basie. Through their active concert schedule, they also perform pieces spanning various other styles and moods. The Pula Big Band has performed before numerous audiences in both public squares and concert halls, appearing in its home city as well as on tour—with notable performances in Zagreb, Slovenia, and Austria. A host of renowned Croatian and international vocal and instrumental soloists have performed, and continue to perform, with the orchestra.
