Song Under the Perseids – Klapa Fjok
Under the summer sky, in the unique ambience of the historic Fort Casoni Vecchi in Pula, the audience can expect an evening filled with song, emotion, and a starry atmosphere. "Song Under the Perseids" a concert by Klapa Fjok, will take place on August 12th starting at 8:30 PM. Admission is free.
As the sky lights up with the Perseids, one of the most beautiful summer celestial sights, Klapa Fjok will bring the audience an evening dedicated to the beauty of traditional klapa singing, togetherness, and the joy of music. In the unique setting of Fort Casoni Vecchi, among old stone walls and under the starry sky, the music will blend with the space, creating an atmosphere that invites you to take a break from everyday life and enjoy a warm summer night.
Klapa Fjok brings together female singers from Pula who nurtured klapa song for many years through various musical and vocal groups, before life briefly took them on separate paths. A spontaneous meeting reunited them, opening the way for new gatherings, songs, and the creation of a new musical story.
Klapa Fjok had its first public performance on July 16th in Vrsar, at the Church of St. Mary of the Sea, presenting their first joint performances to the audience. Following that beautiful start, the klapa continues its musical journey with a concert in Pula, the city where their love for singing and long-standing friendship reunited.
"Song Under the Perseids" will thus be more than just a concert evening – it will be a meeting of song, friendship, memories, and new beginnings, set under the wide summer sky and within the stone walls of Fort Casoni Vecchi.
We invite the citizens of Pula, as well as all our guests and tourists staying in Istria this summer, to join us and spend an evening of song under the starry sky together with Klapa Fjok.
