Art Forum with Branko Bratković
On Wednesday, September 2, at 8:30 PM, Gradska radionica will host Pula-based architect and multimedia artist Branko Bratković as part of this year’s first Art Forum.
Architecture, graphic art, design, painting, sculpture, scenography, cartography and illustration are just some of the disciplines embraced by the artist throughout his creative career. Deeply connected to his hometown, Bratković has explored and revealed the city through all the dimensions available to him, from archaeology to politics.
A rebellious spirit and a strong interest in society have been part of his character from an early age. Spiritually, he feels close to the Vedas and Yoga, and sees life as a process of exploration and collaboration.
During the evening, excerpts from the film „Fort Bourgignon – Vremensko putovanje“ („Fort Bourgignon – A Journey Through Time“) and the artist’s installations will accompany a conversation with Bratković, led by art historian Mauro Bortoletto together with Željko Brgles, the artist’s friend and an instructor at a Bihar Yoga school.
Art Forum is a series of public conversations organized by Gradska radionica for everyone interested in deepening their understanding of art and exploring reality through art. The programme creates a distinctive space for a philosophy of practice, where communication with the audience takes place in a direct, innovative and interdisciplinary way, encouraging deeper understanding, a different relationship with reality, and new forms of artistic criticism, including approaches such as the ready-made.
The programme activities of Gradska radionica are supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the City of Pula. Admission to all events is free.
