Enrolment for the 17th Animated Film School
Pula Film Factory invites upper-primary-school pupils, young creatives and all interested beginners to enrol in the free 17th Animated Film School, starting on 22 September at 5 p.m. at the Pula Film Factory Club.
This year’s theme is “Water Stories” – streams and rivers, seas and mystical lakes, storms and droughts, lost ships, sunken treasures, unusual animals, clouds, underwater caves and everything else that water and imagination can set in motion.
Through hands-on work, participants will learn the basics of stop-motion animation and explore ways of representing water and its movement using paper, modelling clay, drawing, fabric, wool, transparent sheets, everyday objects and other materials. After introductory exercises, they will form small creative teams. Each team will develop its own Water Story, protagonists and visual world, experiencing every stage of making a short animated film – from the initial idea and storyboard to animation, editing and the completed film.
Workshops take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Participation is limited to 15 people.
Applications are open until 21 September at 12 noon: bit.ly/17ŠAFprijavnica
