Celebrating 20 Years of Nešpula
Mixed vocal group Nešpula is celebrating twenty years of successful activity, musical creativity, and togetherness this year. Throughout two decades of work, Nešpula has left a recognizable mark on the cultural and musical scene of Pula and Istria through its performances, concerts, and guest appearances, fostering a love for choral singing while bringing together generations of singers and music enthusiasts.
The choir’s dedication and quality are reflected in its numerous achievements at national and international competitions. Over the past twenty years, Nešpula has proudly represented Croatia at distinguished choral festivals and competitions across Europe, earning remarkable results and prestigious awards.
At international events in the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Malta, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, and other European countries, the choir has won numerous gold and silver medals, special awards, and recognitions from professional judging panels. Among its most notable accomplishments are successes in the categories of folk, sacred, and popular music, as well as awards for promoting and interpreting Croatian musical heritage. Altogether, the choir has earned 16 gold and 9 silver medals, confirming a long-standing tradition of excellence, dedication, and artistic achievement.
After celebrating its 10th anniversary with a concert at the Istrian National Theatre and marking later anniversaries with performances at the Sacred Hearts venue, Nešpula will celebrate its twentieth anniversary in yet another important cultural venue in Pula. The audience can look forward to an evening filled with music, memories, and gratitude to all those who have been part of the choir’s musical journey over the years.
Alongside the host choir, the Mixed Vocal Group Nešpula from Pula, special guest performers will take part in this festive celebration. The diverse musical programme will reflect on the rich path Nešpula has travelled during its twenty years of activity while also announcing a new chapter in its future work and artistic development.
