16. Vladimir Skate Film Festival

Sweet Sixteen is the name of this year’s Vladimir Skate Film Festival, which will celebrate its 16th edition from 16 to 20 September. Over the course of four days, the programme will take place at several locations, from its home base in Fažana to Vodnjan, Pula and Brijuni National Park.
The festival presents audiovisual skateboarding production, ranging from specialised skate videos and documentary films to various photography exhibitions and multimedia performances.
The Pula programme will take place on Saturday, 19 September, starting at 5:00 pm at Bistro Kolovoz, with a celebration of the 10th anniversary of Solsticij, a skate film by Nikola Racan.
In cooperation with Kino Valli, at 8:00 pm the foyer of the cinema will host the opening of Stanje prijelaza (State of Transition), an exhibition by Zagreb-based photographer Kristijan Smoko, known for documenting skate culture and urban life.
The Kino Valli film programme will feature the documentary I Love You, I Leave You by director Moris Freiburghaus, which follows musician Dino Brandão on a journey to Angola as he confronts his own identity and family history.
The programme will conclude at Klub Monteparadiso, where, starting at 11:00 pm, performances will be given by the legendary Belgian hardcore punk band Hiatus, post-punk band KPAX, Pula-based Diskultura, and Slovenian band Kormorana.
