Art Panoptikum LXX

Art Panoptikum, a programme presenting exhibitions of international visual art, will be held for the seventieth time on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Gradska Radionica in Pula.

The first topic will focus on a retrospective exhibition dedicated to Jasper Johns, entitled “Night Driver”, on view until 10 December at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.

The following topic will present “Third Person”, an exhibition by American photographer and multimedia artist Lorna Simpson, on view at Punta della Dogana in Venice until 22 November.

This will be followed by a presentation of “Worra Munga! Ernie and Bert Dreamtime voice” by Australian Aboriginal artist John Prince Siddon, on display until 8 May 2028 at the entrance to the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in Sydney.

The next topic will focus on the solo exhibition of American painter Marcia Marcus, entitled “Strange and Clear”, recently presented at The Provincetown Art Association and Museum.

This will be followed by a presentation of a retrospective exhibition by British artist Hurvin Anderson, one of the most important contemporary painters of his generation, recently held at Tate Britain in London.

The next topic will focus on Italian artist Giulia Andreani and her exhibition “Sabotage” at the Hamburger Bahnhof museum in Berlin. Andreani focuses her artistic practice on the genre of history painting.

Finally, the programme will present the Château de Vullierens sculpture park in Vaud, Switzerland, a leading destination for contemporary art featuring a permanent collection of more than 120 monumental works.

The Art Panoptikum programme is organised by Gradska Radionica and curated and presented by Boris Bogunović. The programme activities of Gradska Radionica are supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the City of Pula. Admission to all events is free of charge.
