NOTIZEN / THE NEWS unfolds in public space — a meeting point of bodies, signals, and shifting weather — where news, protest, and love collide in real time.

Characters move through a world saturated with information: headlines flashing, whispers rising, gestures repeating like echoes. Signdance Theatre’s fusion of sign languages, dance, and theatre gives this turbulence a physical pulse — a language of clarity, resistance, and connection.

​Transmitter Performance, led by composer Angelina Schwammerlin, threads the piece with an elemental musical landscape Co-composed and shaped by long-term collaboration with Deaf  Signdance Collective Director David Bower. Sound becomes vibration, rhythm becomes architecture, and silence becomes a force of its own.

​Slovenian puppetry artist Barbara Bulatović expands the world with delicate, uncanny object theatre — small movements that open emotional space, surreal images that shift the air, and visual poetry that lingers long after the scene dissolves.

NOTIZEN / THE NEWS is a live, outdoor encounter: part signal, part ritual, part collective breath.
