Anniversary of Viktor Klobučar’s Historic Flight

On Sunday, 27 September 2026, the Istrian Aeronautical Federation will mark the 114th anniversary of Viktor Klobučar’s historic flight, which took place in Pula on 27 September 1912.
Sveta Katarina has recently named a street after Viktor Klobučar. We will visit it during a costumed walk and share short stories and interesting facts about Istrian aviation history during the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. A friendly gathering will follow.
The event is intended as the symbolic beginning of a future programme dedicated to Viktor Klobučar and the pioneering days of naval aviation in Pula. Its aim is to draw public attention to this important part of Pula’s and Istria’s history, as well as to gather promotional material and support for a more extensive programme next year.
We invite residents, aviation and history enthusiasts, and everyone interested to join us and support the work of the newly established Istrian Aeronautical Federation.
