What happens when words touch the most vulnerable parts of us? When poetry speaks of love, motherhood, desire, wounds, and the strength to stand up for ourselves despite everything?
This year’s Month of Croatian Books at Veruda Library opens on 15 October 2026 at 6 p.m. with the presentation of the poetry collection Ničija zemlja by Snježana Radetić. She will be joined in conversation by Sniježana Matejčić, journalist and writer, to discuss poetry, personal experience, and the worlds that verses open up.
The collection was published by the Croatian Writers’ Society and edited by the award-winning poet Monika Herceg, who describes it as “poetry that confidently writes about falling apart and piecing oneself back together, about love and a vulnerability that refuses to be defeated.”
