Organizations

The Sports Fishing Association “Mandrač-Tivoli” from Pula actively contributes to the development of the local sporting, cultural, and environmental community and is located in the northern part of the Bay of Pula. The association brings together enthusiasts of the sea, fishing, and sailing, and through volunteer work promotes environmental protection, sporting values, and the preservation of maritime heritage.

Our activities are organised through several key sections:

• Competitive and Recreational Section – We organise fishing and sailing competitions, recreational sporting events, traditional community festivities, and social gatherings for all age groups.

• Environmental Section – We promote environmental awareness and regularly carry out coastal and underwater clean-up initiatives throughout the Bay of Pula.

• Maritime Heritage Preservation Section – We preserve and showcase historical fishing and nautical equipment, customs, and traditional vessels through public events and cooperation with cultural institutions.

• Educational Section – Focused on children and young people aged 10 to 15, this section teaches maritime skills such as knot tying and chart reading, introduces the basics of sailing, and promotes the importance of preserving the marine ecosystem.

The association’s main objectives are to promote a healthy lifestyle, encourage volunteerism, and strengthen the local community. Our work is aligned with the development strategies of the City of Pula and the Istria County, with particular emphasis on the inclusion of children and young people from all social backgrounds.
