The Monteparadiso Hardcore Punk Festival has been held continuously in Pula since 1992 and is internationally recognised as one of the longest-running DIY (Do It Yourself) festivals. The activities of the Monteparadiso Association are based on the independent creation of cultural programmes and the promotion of autonomous artistic production, making a significant contribution to the development of the independent cultural scene.

For more than twenty years, the annual concert season has taken place at the Monteparadiso Club on a monthly basis (with up to six events per month), hosting independent performers from Croatia and abroad. Over the past two decades, approximately 1,600 artists have performed at the venue. The club serves as a meeting place for the exchange of ideas and experiences within the independent scene and encourages active participation in the creation of culture. It has been an integral part of the Rojc Community Centre in Pula for more than twenty-five years (since 1999).
