Organizations

The UOSIS ASMCI Association was founded on December 11, 2014.

The core of its activity is the promotion and development of musical culture by preserving the memory of Istrian composers.

The organization of concerts, educational conferences, and cultural events, as well as participation in them, are activities aimed at giving a distinctive character to the important anniversaries of Istrian composers.

Every year, it organizes the following events: Zlatić Forever, The Days of Nello Milotti, Brajša Among Us, and other events dedicated to the life and work of Istrian composers (birth or death anniversaries). The Association's members work to collect and digitize the scores and legacy of the listed composers. It collaborates with the faculties of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, particularly with the Academy of Music in Pula, and other associations active in the Istrian Region, with the same programmatic goals.

Through our activities, we want to encourage musicians and music school students to perform works by Istrian composers, and musical institutions to cultivate and promote their cultural heritage. To make this possible, it is important to rediscover forgotten composers and compositions, and to archive and make available hard-to-find material.
